What is boolean algebra? How it is different from ordinary Algebra?

Boolean algebra is the algebra of logic, which deals with the study of binary variables and digit logical operations.
In ordinary algebra, the letter symbols take any number of values. In Boolean algebra, they take two values( i.e. 0 and 1). The values assigned to a variable have numerical significance in ordinary algebra,
